Vineyard model cub

Postby I gotta cub » Wed May 10, 2023 8:08 pm

Some fellas were parked at the bottom of my driveway a couple of weeks ago with a damaged boat trailer. One of the fellas said he could see a couple of jeeps on my property, so I told him to follow me and I'll show him the rest of the herd..after he looked over everything, I then took him up to my house and showed him my 48 cub..he said he has two cubs in his barn and one of them is a narrowed rear and front cub. Someday I will look him up and take a look at it. He said it was a 1956 if my ears heard him right.

Now that you invited him to case your place, don't be surprised if you start finding things missing. I hope I am wrong about that, but I never let strangers look over everything I own. I get people stopping by all the time asking questions. I always keep them outside the gate. Even when a buyer stops to pick up some thing I have for sale, I move it outside the gate for them to see. The only exception is when we have a CubFest, and even then I keep an eye on strangers.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I agree with you a 100%...this fella was 80 years old and I felt OK showing him my jeeps and tractors..I had a fella knock on my door one time and ask me if I wanted to sell any of my jeeps and I told him I wouldn't sell a piece of gravel in my driveway let alone sell a jeep. He didn't know what to say after that..lol
