L-38 disc adjustment
I'm having trouble getting my L-38 to run evenly. The outside discs are the only ones actually getting in the dirt. I've run the nuts on the support rods all the way in to pitch the outside up, but still the same outcome. I've also run it with a cinder block on each of the gangs. the inside discs are making contact first but the entire time I'm discing only the outsides are doing any work. Is there an adjustment I'm overlooking?

Re: L-38 disc adjustment
Your disk should be level in the working position.
The strut bars across the top (I think they are 3/4" diameter), one for each side should have a nut on each side of the mount to hold your setting pretty rigid.
The book calls them "gang frame support rods"
Check out the set-up instructions in the L-38 disk operators manual.
Pretty sure there is a copy in the pdf manuals section
Mine is from 1966

Re: L-38 disc adjustment
Is it all loose and sloppy? The discs are pushing inwards so it is possible that the whole disc is "arching up" in the middle due to badly worn pivot points.
