Hi,
I guess you are talking about on the bottom side of the pan seat.
Below is a listing at TM Tractor for a new original style pan seat. You can see the bolt holes on the bottom.

If you have another style of seat, it may have 1 bolt in the middle of it.
I don't know how you would fasten that onto the original spring post.
Below is a pic from TM Tractor of the spring post, showing the original top, maybe someone has changed yours.
