OK, I found this illustration from one of the manuals. It looks like that long bar does connect to that tang by way of an additional arm/bar.

The frame is finally ready for refinishing/polishing the shaft holes. Progress is being made. I'm giving it one more try at a Cub Express request to get a loader picked up in Kansas that has the correct bucket so my fingers are crossed.

It's looking good. I just picked up a Henderson for my Cub also. Does the upper cross bar that goes through the tractor (old style) work with the tractor lift/hydraulics. I want to be able to still use my fast hitch. Can you buy the fill plug that is tapped for the reservoir connection? What color were these painted for a 1955 Cub? I heard that there is a guy in Zoar Valley NY (Buffalo) that makes bypass blocks. Does anybody know how I can get ahold of him. I live in the Buffalo area.

It would be better to start your own thread.

If you mean the bar that connects across under the gas tank the actuating arm on the T/C hits that bar and I don't believe using the Fasthitch is possible but others may have a better idea.

The fill opening on the T/C is a pipe fitting.

The Hendersons were red.

Bypass blocks are available from TM Tractor Parts (see bottom of page).

Thank you. I would love to be able to use a back blade while the loader is hooked up.

Yours has been modified. Those filler panels along the top aren't original, they've been added so it's been repainted. If you look at the bucket you can see some red showing.

I was at a flea market/junk sale recently and there was a guy with a pickup truck full of odds and ends. I noticed this cylinder and asked what he wanted. He said "Gimme $8." So, for eight bucks I took a shot. I've checked it out the best I can with no hydraulics and it seems good but we'll see.
