I recently picked up a fast hitch Mott flail mower in good working order. It came with two chain stabilizer brackets that I cannot tell for sure where they are supposed to be mounted, neither did the guy who I bought it from as he had never used it.
I put them on either side of the hitch with a pin through the same hole where you mount the optional tow bracket. It seemed to fit with the length of chain provided but I’m not sure it stabilized anything. Wondering if I have it right. I found the manual for this model but it seems unclear, this is what the manual says:
“ Remove the lower rear cap screws from the Fast Hitch attaching brackets and, using the 5/8 x 2 cap screws and original lock washers, attach the stabilizer chain anchors so that the slots are in the top edge to the rear and inclined towards the center of the tractor.”
Does anyone have a picture of how this hooks up?

Re: Mott Flail Mower Fast Hitch Question
That last picture in the post does help a little as far as giving me a general idea, have to take a look when I get back home and see, looks like it's in the fast hitch mount that attaches to the final drives. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! I figured it had to go to the sides somewhere to actually stabilize it, just couldn't see any logical place when I looked before that was within chain length. I originally thought it must bolt to the final drive implement holes...didn't even know there was a mounting hole on the fast hitch itself.

I read the description you posted above and from the sound of it I have it mounted wrong. Should be the bolt below where mine is mounted. But mine works fine where it is, so I’ll just leave it

Re: Mott Flail Mower Fast Hitch Question
I had mine mounted at the lower bolt in Thomas' photo. I worked fine there. BTW, I have an extra set of brackets available. Check The Vine.
