Governor
Anyone have a simple trick installing governor to match the timing marks the engine is in the tractor with radiator installed i just can't see the marks i have painted the gears but cannot see the marks.

Is your engine set at TDC? Make your best guess and slide the governor gear in place. Check the position of the drive slots. If they aren't at 35 degrees from horizontal (as shown in the many times posted picture), pull it back out, turn it however much it would take to get the drive slots in position and try again.

I would do as Jim suggests, I could care less about the marks, as long as the drive slot is at the proper angle. If it has a distributor, I care even less.
