valve keepers
I am Working on my 47' cub and have now reinstalled all the valve keepers and springs to all 8 valves. I am wondering if there is a way to check to make sure that all the keepers are on correctly and are seated in the grooves correctly before I put the rest of engine back together? thanks

Re: valve keepers
Visual inspection, any that are not installed and seated properly will look odd compared to the others.

Re: valve keepers
Technically they should have an equal gap between both valve keepers but as long as they are seated you will be ok.
As stated you can visually look with a flash light and see both valve keepers on top of the valves

P.S. you can tell immediately if one of the keepers is missing because the valve spring retainer will be lifted up on the missing side if it hasn’t already fallen off completely.
