PTO grease shield

Hi everyone,

In the parts manual, I see that behind the bearing from the PTO shaft is a grease shield (part 12 on the screen). I checked on the net, but I didn't find this part. So I think that the best way is to change the bearing and take a sealed one

On TM tractor parts, they sell a new bearing with a snap ring :

It is the snap ring N° 13 ? I think the N°13 on the screen is a bigger one

The snap ring TM shows with the bearing is the smaller one that holds the bearing on the shaft. It is not in the diagram you posted. Later versions of the parts catalog showd the snap ring between reference numbers 11 and 12. The large snap ring holds the bearing in place in part 5.

Yes, the large snap ring (#13) holds the grease shield (#12) in place. But the bearing, itself, is held in place either by staking or the newer small snap rings like these:

The small BEARING retaining snap ring, as Jim said, was on later PTO shafts.

No matter which bearing you use, you will still need either the new snap ring on the newer type shafts, or you'll need to stake the new bearing, if the older type shaft.
