Run the tractor with about an ounce of seafoam per gallon of gas for several hours under load. It will smoke some, but I was able to increase my compression a bit. It worked for me after working with a sickle mower, but your results may vary. Easy way to try before tearing down your engine.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I'm sure I have a few extra of those impulse coupling covers, but you need to use a special puller to get the old one off without risking damage to some of the parts. Send me an address by PM or to spiveyricharda@gmail.com if you'd like a replacement piece.

If you are ordering an aftermarket carb from Ebay, let us know. There are several things you need to be aware of before trying to use it.

If you want to have fun AND get your carbs rebuilt at the same time, consider attending the Barnyard Bash the first week of June.

I think you'll enjoy it & learn a lot with all the projects that are worked on!

I'll play the devil's advocate here. Unless you paid a lot, lot more than $30- 50 for your carb, it likely came from offshore and the seller is from Lexington.
