Hey guys,
Finishing up my rebuild on my 1956 cub and was having some starting issues. Doesn’t look like any spark to the spark plugs. I checked the old original IH coil and it read zero ohms so I’m assuming it’s toast. Probably have a couple other issues but I’ll start with this one. Is there a preference on 6 V coil‘s to buy? Are the more expensive ones better than the less expensive ones? I’ll put two links below. I was looking to get the bullet type one which is like $50 but to be perfectly honest with you I’m not married to that idea. There’s a $20 one that if it works I’d probably be fine with that also. I just don’t wanna buy a $20 piece of junk I have to buy it three or four times. Any input is appreciated.

Re: Best 6 volt coil
I believe the more expensive one is made to replicate the original coil. Both should work well, the choice is yours.

Auto parts store and compare prices. Take in the old coil and mounting bracket for size.
I usually find the prices at the auto parts store are competative when you figure in shipping.

I have an excuse. CRS.
