Just a tip I thought of today when putting my cub back together:
Use a short piece of rubber fuel line to shove up the threads of the bolt in the view plate to keep the wing nut from vibrating loose.

A lot of battery box eye bolts will have a small red cap on the bolt to keep the wing nut from falling off. Looks like a vacuum cap.

You can buy them at your local auto parts, they usually come in an assortment pack. Not expensive. I think they're call vacuum line caps. Used mostly around carburetor aspirated engines.
