My '49 cub came with an oil pressure gauge that appears to have been secured to the dash by the front bezel. It has now come apart. I have a new gauge from TM of the correct vintage graphics.
How have people mounted one of these so that it's secure? I have limited fab ability. I'm going to look on the automotive world for 2" gauge mounting options but I'm certain someone here has previously addressed this.

Re: Oil Pressure gauge dash mounting
Why not mount it at the factory location?
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Because I have the hole in the dash for it!

Hey Bull my '47 is in the dash also. I don't know how it got there but it is. And I like it there. Great place for it.

I don't like adding fittings and line for that reason.
I start mine while standing on the ground. Check oil and fuel and shake hands with the shifter to make sure it's in neutral. Let it warm up and look at oil pressure.

Understood, but I might as well have a gauge in the now empty hole. Perhaps a speedo with a 0-60 scale

Re: Oil Pressure gauge dash mounting
To properly panel mount, you will need a gauge with mounting studs on the back. The larger tractors “H” and “M” and such had such a gauge and will appear correct although the gauge will read a little lower. I like having the gauge panel mounted, as well.
