Correct color of headlight housing

My '49 cub has tear drop headlights that are black. I don't believe this is correct? They badly need repainting so I might as well make them the correct color.

Red, same as the tractor.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.
