Dry rotted tires

Postby Pap » Mon Aug 02, 2021 8:12 am

Does anybody know if there is anything that I can do to dry rotted tires to make them look better. My tires have about 90 percent of the tread still left on them. I know that I can't undo dry rot but maybe it can be hidden to look better.

Tire paint is a rather thick, black coating that will fill small cracks. May require several coats.

I’ve used the Miller tire paint a few times. It does make them look better but will need to be re-applied, occasionally. There may be other such paints but I’m unaware of them. That quart bottle will treat your tires several times, it goes a long way.
