How do I unstick the air filter cover, it seems to be rusted on.
(this was partially to get my 2nd post to look at manuals)

Re: Stuck air intake cover
The cover if you are talking about the one above the hood is just a press fit. Spray a penetrating oil on the joint between the cap and the pipe and let it have a little time to work and then you will probably have to tap on the underside of the cap with whatever you can get in there to get it off. Tap gently so as not to damage the cap and it should come off. Use a good penetrating oil like liquid wrench or pb blaster or kroil not wd40. Penetrating oil will become your best friend working on a cub. Go ahead and start soaking all the fasteners that you think you might have to remove because there are lots that are a pain to drill out if you break them off

Re: Stuck air intake cover
Just a hint: you don't have to drown the part with penetrating oil. I've seen people spray until it runs off all over the floor. You probably know that, but it's one of my pet peeves. John

I agree with that on penetrating oil. It’s much more effective to use a little bit multiple times than a whole bunch at once.

I could not say tractor when I was 2 years old so I called it Err Err.
I loved this tractor then and I still love it now. - Circle of Safety: Y

Just peck up on it from two sides and it should move.
