Tribute to Dad on his Birthday - Circle Cub Decal Mod

Postby welovecomics » Sat Jun 12, 2021 12:21 pm

Happy Birthday to my Father, Ray Friend. Dad would have been 96 today. Dad purchased this Cub & equipment in the early '60s and we used it for everything. All us kids learned to drive on the Cub. We managed to wreck it, burn it, and blow up the motor. I recently got my hands on it and went through it. Boy, does it bring back the memories. To honor my Pops, I asked my son to create the "RAY' decal for the front dog leg modeled after the original Circle Cub decal used for the first 3500 tractors built in 1947. It turned out great. The "RAY" decal is also on numerous pieces of equipment the brothers own but it was all inspired by Dad's Cub.

Used one of the forum posts to make a custom seat cover. Black vinyl with red stitching. Next one will be better but I was pretty happy with it.
