Re: 1948 Cub Lo Boy Chrome Letters
1st the loboy was made from 55-69
on a low boy in 55-7 the hoods had just the international cub on the hood, the holes under that were left empty, many would take the McCormack from a regular cub that used those to fill in the holes as the hoods are the same for those years
on the doglegs it had lowboy
what is the tractors serial #

Hi,
The LoBoys have their own serial numbers, separate from the Farmall Cub.
The LoBoys begin in 1955, at serial number 501.
If you are using the serial number list at the top of the page at Cub Info, Serial Number Lookup, change the list to LoBoys.
You have to scroll down to the bottom of the page, and change the list to LoBoys.
Below is a page from the Cub and LoBoy parts manual, showing the 1st style of LoBoy, in the bottom pic.
It gives the serial numbers when they were made.
The upper pic is the newest style of Cub made when the manual was made, I guess.
http://www.farmallcub.info/manuals/cub_ ... 000-13.jpg
The parts manual shows that the 2 small holes in the hood above the International Cub names, were not used on the LoBoy, the holes were just empty.
Only the Farmall Cub had the McCormick name in the upper holes.
Below are pages from the Cub and LoBoy parts manual, showing the 1st style of hood that LoBoys had.
The Farmall Cub used the same hood.
It shows the name plates, and the description on the 2nd page tells what plates were used.
Number 21 is the McCormick name, it says it was only used on the Farmall Cub.

Re: 1948 Cub Lo Boy Chrome Letters
Hi,
Below is a new LoBoy emblem from TM Tractor, for the 1st style of LoBoy.
http://www.tmtractor.com/new/tg/5342fp.htm
Part of my info in my post above was to show that the Cub parts manual says IH didn't put the McCormick name on the LoBoys.
I think someone on here said in the past that he had a 1st style LoBoy with the McCormick name on it, I think the experts thought it was just a mistake at the factory, if the names were put on at the factory.

When ordering on the TM site, State says uS/ Canada Only. Under Country it has United States. The form won't let you change either item to just Ontario and Why?.

Call Ron at TM or email him, he is a helpful guy and they probably ship to Canada.
