Re: Cub foot throttle assembly, what's it worth
I have never seen one for sale. Can you post some photos? I have a 140 with one.
Was/is your cub painted all yellow ( not yellow and white)? I think the foot throttle was only available on cubs purchased by municipal public works which also would have been 100% yellow

Re: Cub foot throttle assembly, what's it worth
I can not say what is worth, but I will say to keep it if your keeping the tractor.
Chances are, you will find that you use it more than you thought you would!

Re: Cub foot throttle assembly, what's it worth
I would hang on it is. I think a working assembly is somewhat rare. It may make the cub worth more than you would get for the foot throttle alone

Probably a highway mower machine. Does it have a beefed up front axle?

Re: Cub foot throttle assembly, what's it worth
If it is a highway mower I would keep the foot throttle with it. I would expect it if I knew I was looking at highway/ municipal cub.

Re: Cub foot throttle assembly, what's it worth
I am wishing I had a foot throttle on mine. Use to tractors with one. Sure for mowing or long rows you don't need it but I don't like stopping and starting wide open or at operating rpm, rater slow to change gears so your constantly moving hands between throttle lift and stick.

Re: Cub foot throttle assembly, what's it worth
Any chance you could post pictures? The Township had an AI with a foot throttle and sickle bar I used to mow roadsides, foot throttle was very handy. I'd like to see one on a Cub. It's probably been 30 years since I ran that AI. John

Re: Cub foot throttle assembly, what's it worth
There are some pics in this thread. It looks like cubfriend has a couple but I don't recall seeing his photos. They look heavy duty with dual wheels and the bigger tie rods.

Yes, that is what my foot throttle looks like, my cub has a non adjustable front axle and no dual tires.

Re: Cub foot throttle assembly, what's it worth
Thanks for the link to the pictures. That looks like the AI throttle as I remember it. The mower was great for roadsides, and I run it at could run it over a 45 degree angle and clip brush. Only problem was if you didn't see something solid it could spin you around on the road very fast! Never damaged anything except my pride, but it would wake you up! John
