I put 2 different tractors together. Front of one, rear of one , split at bell housing. Everything went ok until I tried clutch. The TOB bracket hits the fingers. Fingers are adjusted ok. What might I be missing. Did not remove clutch from the running tractor which was the front.
Looks like the TOB bracket has been rubbing before which was from the rear tractor.
Thought will be welcome. Thanks Bob

Re: clutch problems
Hi,
You didn't say what years the Cubs are.
There are 2 different styles of parts for the clutch pedal free play adjustment.
The Cub parts manual says IH changed them at serial number 32229. which was during 1948.
If you have the pressure plate fingers set at about 1 3/16" - 1 1/4" high, it should work.
The graphite material sticks out of a new throwout bearing 5/16", if it is worn down, the holder might need to go farther ahead than it should.
If the throwout bearing holder hits the pressure plate, usually the fingers are too low.

Re: clutch problems
They both are 49. Fingers are adjusted correct. I am thinking it is YOB wore down. I have another one I will try tomorrow.
Thanks
