Pulled my '77 cub out of the barn today, started fine but ran extremely rich and had low power.Thought about the float level needed adjusting but changed the oil and filter first prolonging pulling carburetor. When pulling oil bath cup off it had mouse droppings in the oil
,thought that was strange so I pulled the cap off and looked down the pipe and found a nest near the bottom. Removed nest cleaned cup and reinstalled. The cap screen was missing . Ordered a new cap, fired the barn cat,and cut about an acre with no more problems. When you think you have seen everything.

L.o.l...
Bugs get through the screen too.
Brought a Cub home and the oil cup was full of ,daubers or something.
They looked bigger than the screen holes...

I hope you gave the poor car a good severance package! It's a hard life, napping 20 hours a day!
