Correct.....2 different units that can be used together....chains connect the two....do need the gear on the rh side axle...and they are $$$$$$

you need a planter runner and mounts, hopper, base gears to drive the hopper, seed tube setup , a special tool arm on the right side for the tool to make the trench for seed added to what you have now

Gee Bill, if your buying steaks, I would be tempted to get my cub planter out and mounted up for planting and let you do the driving!

Yes the planter runner is independent of the fertilizer mechanism
