Correct.....2 different units that can be used together....chains connect the two....do need the gear on the rh side axle...and they are $$$$$$

you need a planter runner and mounts, hopper, base gears to drive the hopper, seed tube setup , a special tool arm on the right side for the tool to make the trench for seed added to what you have now

Yes the planter runner is independent of the fertilizer mechanism
