The blocks each are 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 2" Lg. The hole is 0.668" dia and is chamfered on one end.

Thanks Bill, you just saved me a long walk to the barn in seven inches of snow.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I ordered a couple from Ron at TM tractor along with the rods. The price is fair and he gets them out to you pretty quick. Unless yo have the metal stock already on hand I doubt you could build them for less than he sells them for.

A neighbor made me a pair of those. I asked him to put a 1/4" chamfer on one of the long edges. It makes a very solid place for the set screw to hold it in place. If I was to have more made, I would opt for one continuous piece.

I also made a pair, but instead of the chamfer, I cut a recess for the set screw to sit in. Now they cant slide in any direction. Just insert , tighten the screw enough for a mark, then remove and machine or file recess.
