Rebuild cost
Anyone know the cost to completely rebuild a cub Transmission. Factoring in only bearings and seals?

TM Tractor, one of our site sponsors should have all of the bearings, seals and gaskets you need. You can click on their ad at the bottom of the page.

Re: Rebuild cost
Cheapest rebuild may be to source a donor cadet transmission. If your tractor has been worked hard...1-r slider will be shot. Reverse idler is also a weak point.
I went through my 65 that had been totally abused by its Po and the one thing I hate is I didn’t put in a new 1-r slider.
The timken bearing catalog can be your friend. All of the ih numbers show up in the cross reference in the back.
With mission creep...final covers, brake bands, and other miscellaneous...put a $300-500 budget together. Patience will keep you at the lower number...
