We had a piece of mail show up on Christmas Eve with a couple coupons in it. They expired on Dec. 13!

Just checked the tracking number on a package I sent Dec. 4, it is out for delivery today. Ohio to North Carolina, just short of a month. The Pony Express was faster....over a greater distance.

one problem is when tracking says out for delivery that isn't always the case today. I was shipped a package, 3 day priority, they said expected delivery would be in 8 days. I got my envelope , only took 25 days. Some things have arrived in a timely fashion. one thing I noticed, my bills seems to arrive in normal fashion?? Will my checks arrive before they shut off my services? Time will tell.

Arrived at USPS Origin Facility in Branford, CT on 12/31 @ 7:26am.
Arrived at USPS Regional Facility in Springfield, MA on 12/31 @ 8:41am. (Good Job - 70 miles in 1 hour 15 minutes)
In Transit to Next Facility 1/1. (must have been on the roulette wheel for 36 hours at MGM-Springfield)
Arrived at USPS Regional Facility in Springfield, MA on 1/1 @ 8:09pm. (+/-23 miles from my house)
Departed USPS Regional Facility in Springfield, MA on 1/2 @ 3:20am.
Arrived at USPS Facility in Waterbury, CT on 1/2 @ 4:45am. (Good Job - 56 miles in 1 hour 25 minutes.....except that Waterbury is +/-60 miles from my house)
Arrived at USPS Post Office in Stafford Spring, CT on 1/2 @ 8:41am.
Out for Delivery on 1/2 @ 8:52am.
Delivered on 1/2 @ 5:30pm in our mailbox at the end of driveway.

Side note: 15 minutes later, USPS truck comes up the driveway with a package for my daughter.

Last 3 items; 2 USPS and one UPS, ordered on 24 Dec 20 arrived on time.

However, one package about a month ago, shipped via USPS from Texas went to Kansas City, Mo., St Louis, Mo., Champaign, Il., then back to St Louis, Mo. where it went back and forth for a couple days within the St Louis area. Finally delivered about 2 weeks after the estimated arrival date.
I have an excuse. CRS.

I almost posted about this. I ordered stuff from TM and it was supposed to ship priority USPS. It sat in Maine for 2 weeks and had to buy some of what I ordered elsewhere.

I also bought a wiring harness from Brillman and all they did was print a shipping label and it sat waiting pick up until today when I sent them an email. Ordered on the 16th. 2 day shipping promised. 17 days to simply leave their building. Strange

Another forum I'm on there is a group of us that do secret Santa gifts every year. About half of us got packages after Christmas , including me, mine was also late that I sent. But as one member pointed out, his power bill and other bills always get there on time??? Yet I send a letter across country and it takes 4 weeks???

But they get you. It's too late in the day of the 30th to count, and you have the first 8n there which is a federal holiday and then Sunday...still should be there like the 5th?

For the past six months everything that's been shipped to me (NW Tennessee) has had to go through Oxford Mississippi and stayed there for a week or three before moving on. UPS has been pretty much on time as usual. I'm kind of thinking of taking a road trip to Oxford to see what the attraction is there, but I'm afraid I'd get stuck down there too.

My wife told me the other day we only get mail every other day now. I noticed we weren't getting letters, bills etc. every other day for several weeks. Thought it was just a coincidence. She says post office unable to keep up with all the packages plus letter mail with covid and low staff. Anyone else notice a difference?
