PTO Pulley
A cub I recently purchased has a pulley mounted using an adapter of sorts. I guess the pulley was made to fit a different tractor than the cub. Not sure what the collar does. Second pic shows the backside of the pulley. Should that adapter just slide off the cub pto? I guess there could be a set screw I haven’t seen yet.

Re: PTO Pulley
Maybe it is simply the perspective of the photo, but that PTO shaft sure does look longer than normal, i.e. seems to stick out further than usual.

Re: PTO Pulley
The pulley hub is probably being used to clamp an extension to the original PTO shaft. Unbolting the hub and popping the pulley off would probably make it all clear.

Re: PTO Pulley
Ahhh!! You're right, Jim! Just realized the end of the PTO shaft is a 6-spline extension! Thanks.

Re: PTO Pulley
No set screw. That is a tapered hub mayed to a tapered bore pulley. There should be two tapped holes in the hub flange that can be used to drive the pulley off the hub. Wire brush everything and soak in your favorite penetrating oil before trying to separate.
