It all depends on which Postal Center it gets routed through and how that center has been impacted by Covid-19. Right now for anything going through Texas, California, or Florida I would expect significant delays (and then wash the package down with alcohol when it arrives).

I’m not just talking delays, I’m talking arriving at its destination at all

I have not had any problems with USPS other than a delay here or there and I have shipped more this year than usual.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Thomas, you should be able to use their tracking software to see where it was last.

YES, YES, and YES. The last two months have been HORRIBLE and it does not matter where it is going. I'm one state away from Michigan and I've had shipments take from 10 to 14 days to arrive. Normally a 2/3 day delivery point. Tracking information is mute, once it gets messed up, tracking just shows in transit for 2/3 days at a time. USPS just blames it on airlines and trucking companies, they shoulder none of the fault.

My closest "major" USPS is the Chicago distribution center, who sends it to my local post office.
I swear they play baseball with the packages, and some are hit out of the park, never to be seen again

Sometimes, the tracking is not updated. I've had packages arrive, before the tracking says they left the state they originated in.

I've had good and bad with USPS. When I was editing tv shows I would ship hard drives over to a producer in ohio. I would say that 50%+ of the packages I shipped didn't arrive on time and I would go down and get my money back. While most were usually a day late I did have one arrive over 4 months late. I also took in a receipt for a refund that was only 5 minutes late for delivery. I told the lady I felt kind of bad asking for my money back on it, and she said bring it in even if its one minute late our carriers know when its suposed to be there. Other than issues with that one area I haven't really had any problems. My friend is one of the higher ups for my area and I was talking to him about it once and he told me that a big part of the issue is my post office goes through the chicago for processing.

Just got a USPS package from North Carolina in 2 days! But.... Just sent something from NW suburbs of Chicago to Ft Wayne Indiana, left here on the 9th tracking stopped on the 13th in route to final destination it says. Luckily it's just an oil sample to be tested that was prepaid,I'll just have to request another kit and resend I guess.

10 days from louisville to Ann Arbor. 3 days from California to louisville. Had one package take 4 days to travel 25 miles to the hub. Totally unreliable.

With the Covid 19, shipping by all carriers has been inconsistent. I don't ship much, mostly receive. Now days most items are shipped, to me, USPS. I've noticed the slowness at times and other times seems to be spot on. Our mail passes through Columbus, where they are apparently far better than Chicago, generally items come through in good shape. Also, our local "small town" post office gives us excellent service. Apparently, most of the issues we do have occur before it reaches the Columbus location.

Try shipping parts from the USA to Australia. Expect 8 weeks before you see anything turn up

Sent something over two months ago and still hasn’t shown itself. And that’s in the USA. Still waiting on another package and tracking says it’s reached the next facility. But they can’t tell me what facility. I can deal with things being a little slower, but not stuff disappearing.
And have you tried navigating the ‘insurance’ thing on usps? I gave up. And local post office will NOT assist
