Bought 1 of the after market carbs, $50. The tractor seems to run very good but after a hour or so it started to skip. Puled the plugs and
found that the are all black and fouled. It seems to be running rich. I had set the float before installing it. Is it possible that the main jets are too big? Can they be replaced with original jets?

Re: China carb
Threads are the same, but the hex head is larger (possibly metric but I didn't check). I measured the main jets in two and both are 0.041 - 0.042".

Re: China carb
If the jets are too big you can solder them closed and drill them to the correct size.

That's a little trick I haven't thought about for quite some time. I used to solder them, once in a while, but the purists frowned on it. It worked in a pinch!
