Parts missing from my Blade?

Postby lovemachine » Wed Jun 03, 2020 6:27 pm

So I was able to pick this blade up over the weekend. I’m trying to figure out what all I need in order to mount it to the front and belly of my Cub.

My brother was able to pick this up from a buddy:

What else do I need to find? I’m kinda lost here!

Go to TMtractor link here on the forum. Find the ‘how to hook up implements’ link there. Then check out the 1949-1952 cub 54 blade pics

Following Thomas' advice will get you here:
Your blade on a pallet http://www.tmtractor.com/tm-tractor/gim/blade54pallet_001.htm
Your blade mounted on a Cub http://www.tmtractor.com/tm-tractor/gim/blade54_001.htm

Hope this helps.

For front mount, you will need a bell crank extension and spacer. A boomerang can be substituted for the bell rank. You will also need the round lift bar that attaches to the bell crank extension. I think both are only available as used parts. You could try to put a WTB add in the Vine on this forum, or try one of the used parts dealers.

I tried to post a link, but my phone wouldn’t give me the option of copying it. Thanks

Hi,
Below is the Cub 54 Blade operator's manual, if you don't have it. It has lots of info.

http://farmallcub.com/rudi_cub/www.clea ... index.html

You could ask the person that had the blade if he or she has any more parts for it.

Below are pics from the 1955 Cub operator's manual of a Fast Hitch.
This hitch has the depth control lever, to the right of the seat, yours in your pics might have the newer depth control crank. :)
