Flat-Back Light Bulb Questions
Does anyone have expierence with the flat back light bulbs that Steiner sells ? I bought a couple of the LED ones and also bought the housing gaskets. I cant figure out how that little brass tab mounts.....it looks too long! Also is there a trick to putting them together with the gasket?

Chase

Re: Flat-Back Light Bulb Questions
The brass tab should exit the round hole, bend down, and a screw goes through it into the small hole.
Wrap the gasket around the sealed beam lense, then wrap the clamp around the gasket. The bigger side of the gasket faces the front.
Then, place it in the housing and tighten the clamp.

Re: Flat-Back Light Bulb Questions
Ok great. Exactly what I needed to know. I guess bending that tab won’t hurt anything I just thought it wouldn’t have been so long

Re: Flat-Back Light Bulb Questions
I haven’t tried them yet, but they turned out great! The gaskets and bulbs fit very well. Very pleased with these. Thank you all for the help.

I was oogling over these a couple of weeks ago when I visited Steiner's. They have a really great display for the LED Headlights.
Looking through their catalog, the LED lights they have list only 12v. They have Flood and Trapezoid beam.

Re: Flat-Back Light Bulb Questions
Hi,
If you are using the lights on the front of a Cub, with the original style mounting brackets, they are supposed to have the long spacers on the mounting bolts.
The lights in your pics have the short spacers, those are for the rear light.
The Cub parts manual shows it.
Below is a listing at TM Tractor for the headlight spacers.

Thank you Glen. That is something that I didn't notice and I had just pulled these old lights off a Farmall 200 parts tractor. I'll get them sorted before installation.
