This is a national level event, the annual Harvester Collectors winter convention.

It is a big deal.

I was really bummed that it is the same weekend as DSCF! Right in my own "backyard", and I will miss it. Hope it's a huge success!

I know what you mean Dale. I will be obligated to some other events that weekend and can't make it.

I see that on Saturday they are having a Windmill Acres tour. Neil and Phil Fishel are some good people and have an awesome collection. They bought an IH parts place/counter out a while back and recreated it in a building on their place, it's awesome. Not to mention the many many antique tractors, Cub Cadet mowers/attachments, toys, and pedal tractors they have.
Every home is a school, what are you teaching?

Yep, they are really good folks. Their collection is awesome!

I hope the attendance will be good. I'd love to see a Red Power Roundup closer to the southeastern coast one day.......

Al, if you're not a member of the IHCC Chapter 42, then I'd encourage you to join. Then, get with Jim Reid to suggest to your chapter to host the event. Lots of work involved; lots of fun. :)

Man I'd love to go. But why would someone pick Valentine's day as the weekend?

That one is decently close to me.

I'm a member of Chapter 37. Lots of our crew will be at the Winter Convention I'm sure.

That's right. North Carolina has both Chapters 37 and 42. Lots of IH lovers in NC! Both those clubs should collaborate on a Red Power event...just sayin'.

NC actually has 3 Chapters now...alas, I just happen to be equidistant from 37 and 42 activities, about 1 1/2 hours away. I go to some meetings, but not as many as I wish. :?

The members are, of course, a great bunch of folks, and it's good to see families with kids so involved!

Same here Dale. I'm one of the outlier members of 37. I'm at least an hour-1.5 hours from everything.

BTW first meeting of the year is the 8th of Feb. in Smithfield at Holt Lake BBQ. This is the one where we draw for the tractor "covergirls" for our 2021 calendar. Also some doofus is going to do a short presentation about Super A--140 planters.

At least you guys in NC might be closer to a chapter than us here in Missouri. We have only one chapter IH 1. I'm 3 and half hours away from the next chapter meeting, which in 2020 is being held in Sedalia, Missouri. If I lived in one of the 4 corners of the state, I could have a lot longer drive.

The reality is that hosting even the monthly meetings is a lot of work, and there are too few folks willing to dedicate the time to organize them. Thus they are usually in the same place all the time, rather than moving around the region. However, I cannot complain, because I admit I have never offered to host a meeting! But, I AM grateful to those who do! Thank you!

Seems like our crowd like eating meetings......been meeting at Holt Lake BBQ for a while now. We try to keep it in one place so everybody (like me) doesn't forget where to go!

For the benefit of others: We meet bimonthly, usually around Smithfield, NC. Check out our website IHCC37.com and our FB page: https://www.facebook.com/IHCC37/

We are kicking off plans for our 15th anniversary now.
