It is where the drive gear bolts on for the seed hopper.

Does anyone have a picture of the drive gear for the seed hopper, I have a seed hopper but not sure of the drive gear

Post a photo of your hopper, there are 4 different models of drive gears depending on the hopper.

Hi,
I'm not an expert on planters, but below is an owner's manual for the Cub 171 and 172 Planters.
It looks like it shows the parts that bolt on the plate on pages 24, and 25. It is a hopper bracket in the manual. There is more than 1 style.

There are other models of planters, the owner's manuals are at the top of the page at Cub Info, then go to Rudi's Manuals.
