Ken Updike book
I thought I remembered reading on here that Ken was working on a third Cub book, but I couldn't find anything when I searched. I have the first two and refer to them frequently. Was I dreaming or can someone enlighten me? Thanks. John

Re: Ken Updike book
He asked for topics that folks would like covered. It was probably in the "Vine" forum and that's why you can't find it with a search. I'm sure we'll hear when it available to buy.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Re: Ken Updike book
Thanks. I'll be watching for it. A side note, I dealt with Ken frequently over the phone when he was with C & G. He told me that an IH metallurgical engineer had told him that when JD green or yellow paint was sprayed on metal it reacted in a manner that destroyed the molecular structure. I always figured if I couldn't believe Ken, who could I believe!

Ken's new book is co-authored with Rachel Gingell (from the Wrenching with Rachel video series on Steiners website). It's entitled, Farmall Cub Encyclopedia, The Essential Guide to Models, History, Implements, and Repair. It's published by Octane Press and is available for pre-sale now through July 1st. Available online at sales@octanepress.com or by calling 512.334.9441. Cost is $40 plus s/h.
All the above info is from the latest issue of the Red Power magazine.

Re: Ken Updike book
I've been kinda quiet on this book since its not out yet. I'm told there may be a few advance copies available to buy at the Red Power Roundup in Bloomsburg, PA this year. It looks to be an interesting book with cub related implements being included with it. I will have a few author autographed copies (no extra charge for that!) to sell later this Summer.
There is also a new IH tractor book coming out in the Spring of 2020. I don't have the full details on it yet but will share them when I know more.

Who will be writing that book.
I WAS offered to do this new IH book, but had the Cub Book already in the works (and some other family business to do) so I had to pass. It was given to someone else. I don't know who that person(s) is/are right now. I have a couple more IH books I'm s-l-o-w-l-y working on right now....
