GACatfish,
I would look at the filter inside the TC reservoir as a possible culprit. It could be getting plugged while using it and after you shut it down it the offending particles settle to the bottom again, only to be sucked back up when you start using it.

If it ain't broke....give me a minute.

Re: Touch Control stops working after a hour
I'd take it off, in case other parts come out. When I got my Cub, the touch control was sluggish and seemed more I used it slower it got (not to mention leaking) so decided on just doing a rebuild which I never attempted something like that before. Which I'm glad I did, filter was half disintegrated and found little pieces throughout the unit. If you go that route, there are a couple very good videos out there along with information on this site. Wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, just be careful putting new seals on if you do

I took mine apart in a big aluminum roasting pan with a bunch of paper towels, kept excess fluid from going everywhere and so I wouldn't lose any small parts

As you can see by diagram, a lot of small parts behind the head... Filter is #16

Be sure you order the correct rebuild kit, there are two different ones based on the part number of the Touch Control. The part number is cast into the TC. Be sure you have the part number when ordering.
