I visit this site every day, looking for information on the Cub series of tractors. Repairs and troubleshooting are always interesting.
What I find odd is that I often see as reply to a problem is a post that indicates “PM sent”.
I am just curious as to why the solution or suggested fix is not shared with the forum.

I assume the PM is personal or contains personal information, and is of no benefit to the group. It might be something like "Hey I would be happy to discuss this in more detail on a phone call, and here is my phone number.

Re: Why “PM sent”?
JMHO, sometimes in the past I have wanted to respond to a question or problem which included attachment/information that is too large to put in a response but can be shared directly via email. PM opens a private vs public way to get info transferred thus giving some protection for both the sender and the receiver. Also sometimes the response is a duplicate of what has been posted before and is quicker and more simple to just add a file attachment to an email. Stan
