I have a 1948 cub and was wondering if anybody can tell me the model number of the zenith carburetor that it’s supposed to have on it?

A 48 Cub would originally have had an IH updraft carburetor installed. A Zenith can be retrofitted with several modifications. The Zenith number is 13794E.
 
1948 Cub would of had an IH carb. The Zenith wasn't used on Cubs until 1975.
The Zenith model was Z1-68. Part number 13794. IH Part number 71523-C92.
 
An IH carburetor is an easier fit on a 48. The Zenith is #13794E but there are things you will need to be aware of to make it fit correctly and work right.
 
Takes a bit more spin for them to fire when ya hand crank them...IH carb will pop off real easy...My Zenith takes a good spin
