Hi all,
Ihave had my farmall cub for about 6 months now and I was wondering if anyone could tell me the year it is. When I bought it he was not sure if it was a 52 or 53. On the Serial tag it says in black on top FCub. the Serial number was a little hard to read but it said #156300. And under that it said 1800 RPM.
One side of the block has 4 15 X and under that it says 354383R3.
On the other side it says 351686-R2 and under that it said 2X.
I found one more set of numbers stamped on the block 5 16 X and under that it says 251341R6 L.
Does anyone have a clue what they mean?
Thanks for your help!

Not to complicate things, but I am going to complicate things. Either the bolster or the engine are a repacement. "X" Codes are from 1954 not 1952. Take a look at your transmission and final drives and see if you can find any other date codes and report back on the letters you find.

According to TM's table "Z" codes are for 1954. "X" codes are 1952.

Whoops!!

I didn't look at the chart at TM Tractor!

Well, isn't that wierd...three letters in the same year. Wonder why they did that? That is what messed me up. I used math/finger method to get to the year. I am sorry again for the misdirection!
