Good luck finding any parts made in america ( unless new old stock)!!! It aint gonna happen! Sad but thats where we are nowdays.
Your starter is killing the ignition power on 6-v more that likely cause it wont turn over fast enough. IF compression is low that adds to the problem. 12-v solves this. All of the cubs and #'rd loboys I have left here are factory 12-v and they gotta spin over fast to get going and keep running.! Gotta get the revs up. Can you pull start it??? After that and run it hard for a while will sometimes bring compression up enough to get them to start if they dont sit too long!
If mine sit for 2 weeks or more I gotta prime the manifold before they will start. Have a 340, a 504, and a 2444 same thing! no prime= no start! Its an IH thing,-- they dont like alki gas!
