:D Wonder how many on this board have their significant others brainwashed into giving Cub related presents. My wife, bless her heart, gave me three Farmall signs to hang on my tractor shead and a tractor umbrella. Not a bad haul! Ain't life wonderful!
 
Mama got me a roll-around shop cart (500 lb capacity) so's I won't have to lug those heavy parts around the shop.
 
Mrs. Claus brought me an air gun, sockets, 27' tie downs and digital marker lights for the tandem. I think she's a real keeper!!
 
I have been fighting the thought of replacing my toolbox that I've had since 78. One of those "make sure the latch is really latched" before you pick it up boxes. Ma fixed my dilema for Christmas. The wine was in the top. Now if I can figure out what wine goes with a combination wrench.........

Another question I have.
What is a resonable price for the long impliment bolts?
My local dealer took me in the back yeasterday, brand new old stock drawbars for cubs and H's hangin on the wall. I love that place.
 
Nice toolbox! Wine doesn't go with a combination wrench, it goes with liquid wrench!

Long implement bolts will probably cost about $4 new - give or take.

I picked up a couple yesterday, paid more than that but my dealer is usually very good to me and I'd rather give them the money than someplace I don't know.

That one will take care of any concern about having it latched. By the time it is filled with tools, any thoughts of picking it up should be pretty well reduced to the theoretical.

You got a point there, the new one has one more drawer than the old one had. I try to keep the box thinned to the "keeps me from walking back to the rolling tool box stuff" but the drawers seem to attract things that don't need to be there.
What to do, what to do..........
 
Had to buy this one for myself, nobody else will shell out for something this big. Not sure whether to call it a Christmas or birthday present, since my birthday was the 21st and I picked it up on the 23rd.

A few of you will know to be shocked that it has an automatic transmission too.

What is it Jim?. I aint seen one like that before, Must be a 2004. Looks like a Bowtie emblem on the grille bar but not sure. Ford-or-Chevy?.

I'm loosing my company van and getting an allowance for a vehicle. I have to sacrifice a little muscle for gas mileage but at least a pickup is approved in the company's scheme of things. I've had 7 Fords and never a Chevy but the new Fords don't come with a standard tranny unless you get the "Legacy" (old body style) series. Looks like I'm in for a 1500 Silverado. I'm moving to Charleston, WV.......I hope a Chevy can handle the hills :roll:
 
Manual transmissions in light trucks are getting impossible to find. Chevy has gone to all automatics on 1/2 ton trucks too. You have to go up to a 2500 to find a manual transmission. Even on the 2500HD, the rare manual transmissions I found in stock were on stripped down "work truck" models. The only manual shift truck I located that was even close to what I wanted was near Little Rock, nearly 400 miles away.

Since I was out of time on ordering one with a manual before the current rebates expired, I went with an automatic.
 
I used to hate automatics, but these new electronically-controlled autos are pretty slick. I think you'll like it, Jim.
 
When my dad (the CEO) was looking at new trucks he found that the autos had more towing capacity. His best friend had a st transmission, and got poorer mileage that dad with his auto.
