Wrenches to keep onboard super a

Just curious as to what wrench sizes one would keep on the tractor when using it for cultivating? I know I’ll need certain sizes for adjusting the plows etc etc. I’m new to the forum and a new farmall super a owner as well so please overlook my ignorance. Haha

I don't have a Super A nor a cultivator or plow for one, but I'd imagine once you hook it up, you'll know which wrenches you used and/or will need to make adjustments.

15/16” wrench if that is what size nuts are on your cuffs and also a good heavy hammer for tightening the wedge bolts.

You won't always find the same exact size in a particular place. Plus, it depends on which ground working tools your cultivator happens to have. Friction standards may not use the same wrench as spring trips, as the tool bar clamps, etc. I usually went with about a 12" Crescent wrench and a hammer.

They gave you the short cut but I’d imagine you’d figure out pretty quick what has a way of loosening up on you or needs adjustment or fine tuning after your first day of working it.

For years and years daddy and granddaddy kept a Craftsman adjustable wrench in the toolbox of the Super A. It would loosen any bolt on the universal mounting frame/cultivator/drawbar, and would also serve as a hammer to set the wedge on the cultivator cuffs.
