Woods 59

Gentleman, I guess I’m confused. I thought that putting my woods 59 mower on my recently acquired 57 lowboy was as simple as a different mule drive. It currently is on my 56 F-Cub. Is there more to it than that?

I would try to obtain an Owners Manual for the WOODS model that you have. It should give you the mounting and adjustment instructions. BTW, welcome to the forum. Stan

I have one woods model 59C-2. It only shows that info for a F-Cub.perhaps someone could share the woods model number for a lowboy and I will try source one.

deck is the same and drive pulley, rest is different, if you have a fast hitch that changes parts also

I would

I have a copy of 59LB-1 Woods emailed me this week which looks updated compared to anything I found online. PDF is too large to attach using the attach files button below. Revision date is 7/20/2007. Msg me with email address and I will send it, if it helps.

I'm not confident of anything on mine at this point, other than the blade part number. Mine is a 68 and the frame setup looks closer than any other manuals I can find, but not sure if a dealer or individual did some parts swapping to make it work. I spent a lot of time this week reading stuff posted over the last 20 years and called Woods, but will still be nervous getting the right belt when needed.

Run a string in the configuration you want (I use paracord) and then make a mark when you get back to the starting point and measure that. I can’t remember what the correct amount but I think if you have certain belts you need to add 2-3” for the correct number.
