where to find flywheel bolts

While taking the flywheel off, I notices the edges of the bolts are
slightly rounded where the socket goes. I'm thinking to replace these
TM said they do not
have the flywheel bolts I need, so maybe I could locate
them elsewhere? If anyone has any leads, I would be gracious.

Try your local hardware store, auto parts store, any tractor dealership. Take one of the bolts in as a sample.

3/8-24 x 1 1/4 Type 4, listed in parts book.

Web search, couldn't find a type 4 bolt but did find a grade 4 bolt. Thinking terms changed.

Grade 4 bolts may be hard to find. Grade 5 or grade 8 are much more common and will work just as well. 3/8" bolts usually have a 1/2" bolt head. Bolt head size may be a problem, just make sure the replacement bolt head is the same size as the old one.

FYI for all. see reference to "type 4" at the bottom.

Used bolts are an option. Ralph or others.
