Wheel weights question.

guess it depends what your soil is like, , many try to dig to china, there is not much out there that needs to planted lower than 6 " deep

The rule of thumb taught to me many years ago is never try to plow deeper than half the width of the plow. So yes 6 inches is the max at which a cub should plow. Can't say anything about wheel weights. Never tried to plow without them. Vern
 
I haven't plowed with the Cub since I added the second set of rear weights, but with the disc they seem to be an asset. Plus I never thought a Farmall looked right without at least one set on the rear,
 
Helps holding your tractor down on the ground....Extra traction in heavy soil[clay type soil] Same going with plowing snow....
