Weed killer

I have a nice patch of mini sunflowers and daffodils. And of course the weeds take over. Is there a killer that will kill the grass and not the flowers?
The sunflowers are about 30’ diameter
The daffodils about 20’

There are two herbicides that I know of that that just kill grass. One is sethoxidim which is generic poast herbicide. The other is clethodim which is sold under the name grass out max. They can be used to kill grass in any broadleaf crop but will kill anything in the grass family such as corn. I feel either would work for your needs but don’t know for sure. I’m sure you can Google them and read the product label to find out. I know in N.C. they can be bought over the counter as they are not restricted use herbicides. All my research led me to decide they were save to use even in my vegetable garden ( I use clethodim mostly as that’s the one my local farm supply carries and my cost is about 70 bucks a gallon) and it works great. It also works great keeping the grass under control in my clover food plots

I just did a quick search on the ortho weed be gone. It active ingredient is 2 4 D. Do not use this as it will kill the sunflowers and daffodils but not the grass. It is a broadleaf weed killer

Disregard my last post. When I googled it I mistakenly looked at ortho weed be gone instead of ortho grass be gone. Grass be gone contains the herbicide fluziflop which is grass selective but I don’t know anything else about it

I don’t use any chemicals. My old neighbor was using weed/plant killer on my bushes that were 25’ thick into my yard that I trimmed down when I bought the place. My problem is I killed two of my cats. Plus my area is loaded with wildlife. They eat the plants.

If I’m not mistaken the label on my container said .8 oz per gallon of water for mixing in a hand held sprayer. I use about 3.5 ounces per 4 gallon backpack sprayer

Ahhh! Found it! Thank You! That will be much easier to measure and mix. I didn't realize there would be a separate section for handheld sprayers.

Grass out works kinda slow so don’t expect to see dead grass in a week. The grass will start turning a purplish color before it dies and about week three after spraying you will see results
