Upgrade on trailer gate...finally!

While picking up the Mahindra 3505 tractor back in May, the front tire dropped through the mesh on the ramp/gate. A few years before, Aron’s Ford Ranger seized a wheel bearing and while driving it on the trailer, the seized wheel dropped through the other side. Aron did a quick fix on that one but after the latest we decided it was time to upgrade and reinforce.
2”x2”x1/8” angle.

Great job! I sure hope you have a spring assist to lift it!! I had a leaf spring assist mounted under the rear end of tlmy trailer, that makes all the difference in the world!

I had some additional tubing added to my mesh ramp, but I think I may add the cross pieces like yours... I always need to aim for one if the bars to avoid what happened to you.

Saw a news article that prices have dropped for the last 8 days...prices are down 56% from the high in May. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Back in the beginning of May, a PT GC 2x8x16’ was $32.57.
Current price at the same Home Depot is $35.98.
I wonder when the prices are going to come down?
