unusual birds

These birds have showed up at my place the last 2 or 3 years, but this is the first time I have actually seen them, the rest of the time only heard them due to them being in my cedar trees. They are black about the size and general shape of a humming bird. They are always in groups of 20 to 30 or more, and they make burbling sound that I can only describe as making me think of a huge mass of bubbles rising up through water. Does anyone have any idea what kinds of birds these are. They are only arond very early in the spring, and I wondered if theymight be immature blackbirds since we always have a lot of them around in the spring and early summer. Sorry, no pictures.
