Tire chain tensioners

Anyone have a source for the spring type tire chain tensioners for the Cubs rears...I don't want the rubber bungee's ...I just put a set of double ring chains on my snow plow tractor and though they seem tight I would like to put tensioners on them....Thanks Dave...(And no there is no snow in the forecast, I'm adding another set of wheel weights and building a cab in my spare ???? time....Just trying to fit it all together...

I use rubber bungees too. You could use storm door springs, or if you want to get real fancy, you could add turnbuckles or twist some fencing wire for tension.

Thanks guys...I appreciate it...I emailed tire chain .com and they sent me a reply the same day....They have both the spring type and the bungee type ...Much appreciated :thanx: Dave

Here's how I arrange my bungees. There are differing schools of thought on how tight the chains should be. If you have ladder style chains on ag tires, some guys like to leave them a bit loose so they don't get stuck in the valleys between the lugs. With turf tires or if you have duo-ladder chains (which is what I have) they can be made pretty tight as they will always protrude beyond the tread.
