Hi, I’m 68, I’ve had a good life but a few more years would be nice. What is the worst thing that will happen when I pull the button and the wiring ain’t quite right? Also can you tell by the picture if this a volt regulator on top or cutout? Other than the temporary( but needed at that time) hot wire, will I be ok with the wiring as seen. The previous owner did not know the ammeter was shorting out.
