Super C Touch Control Levers

Good Evening,
I have a Super C with touch control levers that have suddenly become difficult to push forward. If I push or give it a little forward and back it will move and the front cultivators will raise/lower. This problem occurs running or not. I have been searching around and was led to this site. From what I have read the fact it occurs when it is not running is a problem. Thanks for the time!

So that did help. It still wants to stick at the top or bottom. Once it’s free and your moving it, it moves freely. Problem happens when it stops. But, lubing helped. Might give it another good soak and let it sit tonight.
 
I might change the strainer, or at least check it. The leathers are still on the plungers. I’d better the strainer hasn’t been changed in a looooonnnngggg time.
 
As long as the strainer is not damaged, you can clean and reinstall. Not sure whether strainers are still available from CaseIH. You will need to buy or make a new gasket.
 
I'm having difficulty with one of the TC levers binding up. I found an exploded view to see what's inside and it isn't much. It appears to be a shaft in some sort of bushings (guessing steel) and a spring for tension on the outside. Mine seems to be rusted up enough to bind it. I disconnected the actuator rod to the TC unit and it moves quite freely. So I'm doing the PB Blaster thing trying to loosen things up.
 
Yep. I took the pin out of the TC levers and the levers love freely. Local guy here (Eastern NC) Jason DuFoor with Dufoor Tractor Parts had a gasket for the strainer. $6.30!! And he shipped for the cost of the stamp!! Awesome !! Soon as I get caught up I’m gonna pull the strainer and clean it. I will say that PB blaster and some WD 40 has made the levers better. They still want to bind at the top. It’s weird, they’ll bind... so I’ll jiggle the levers, and pull kinda hard and they’ll “free up” and move. As long as you keep moving them back and forth they are smooth. Stop for 2 seconds and they stick. Weird.

I was able to free mine up. A couple days of spraying the shaft ends with Blaster then I pulled the cover off and sprayed the inside pretty well, working the lever between doses and it's free. Works nice and smooth now. I squirted some motor oil in and good to go.
 
Got ya, I tried that too. I pulled the strainer and it wasn’t too bad. Cleaned it up and topped off the system. It’s much much better but still sticks. I greased up the rocker arms too. Still gonna keep lubing it and trying to get it back perfect.
