"SUPER BLOOD WOLF MOON" with a Total Lunar Eclipse!

I hope you all have clear skies tonight so you can watch the total lunar eclipse of the Super Blood Wolf Moon tonight. The moon has already risen here in NC, but the eclipse will start around 10:40-ish, with full eclipse (totality) from around 11:40 to 12:40. My 2 sisters and I plan to gather at one house, with hot chocolate and Bailey's (it's great, try it), where we can duck back inside and stand by the fireplace!! It is FREEZING here with lots of wind.

Have a good howl tonight, and take care, all!!

I plan to be tucked in a warm bed by then.

You always were smarter than I am, Bill!!! I just want to crawl in bed, too. It always sounds good ahead of time, but now... :)):

Sky is perfectly clear. Moon shining brightly on the new snow. That's how you know it's too cold: -3F with windchill of -20. I'm going to pull the covers over my eyes and it'll be just like a total eclipse.

Here is what I got with a smart phone during totality, about 3 minutes after peak. Was -6 degrees so I didn't spend a lot of time looking at it.

That's better than what I got! My sister had a camera on a tripod with a big lens...she got some good ones. Stayed out til totality, then scurried inside to my electric blanket in bed. Took me a long time to warm up! But it WAS pretty!

I am bummed that I wasn't able to stay up late enough to see this. I have a telescope that can clearly make out individual craters on the moon and this would have been super cool to see.

Another note, I'm wondering how many more adjectives they can use to describe a lunar eclipse. For the next one in May 2021, will it will be the SUPER DUPER BLOOD HARVEST WOLF MONKEY POWER MOON?

Could have went out BUT it was -5 degrees and winds howling! --I can't hack the cold!--Some of my friends on FB posted pix. thanks; sonny

This was a VERY good eclipse! Skies were clear, air was crisp (bitter cold below zero and breezy), and the snow (finally got some) provided a great backdrop to the scene. We got he kids outta bed for it and watched it go to totality and then went running inside. This was one of the better lunar eclipses we have had the pleasure of watching.
