I just picked up a Woods 59 Mower and I have been searching for a Woods 59 Mower Manual for a Super A and haven't found one, does anyone have photos of a Woods 59 Mower setup on a Super A?

Hello,I had asked for information about what I thought was a Woods L59 mower and later determined that it was a Woods L503. My L503 is mounted on a 140 and performs quite well after making some repairs and replacing worn out parts. There are some differences between those models. If You knew the correct model number and contacted Woods They may be able to help you with at least a manual and parts list.

I am pretty sure it is a Woods 59, it is almost exactly like my Cub Woods as far as the deck itself, from the deck back is totally different but looks like a Woods 59 mounting for a Super A I just do not know how it goes together. Woods used to have the 59/L59 manuals on their site but they are gone.

Originally I had the single belt but it kept coming off if I went into reverse, so just went with 3 single belts.
It got a bath yesterday along with the other two.

I did not know you could run with three separate belts. I've always run with the single long belt. How do you tension the 2 mower deck belts or do you just roll them onto the pulleys as snug as possible?
Can you share the part numbers of the belts you use? I'd like to give that a try next time instead of ordering the long belt.

I just rolled them on as snug as possible, same thing I've done with the mower on the F300. Belts are 54", 51", and 122" They are KV5 belts from Rural King. KV4s will work also I just try and get the thickets heavies possible.

Like I said I had the single long belt and after I redid the tractor I could never get it to work properly as always kept falling off.

I tried a KV5 (KV4 wore out) on the main belt and it didn't last very long. Think it was thicker and didn't like all the angles. Replaced it with a KV4.

First, a disclaimer: I have no experience with the mower in question but a Pennington 59 on a Cub works the same way on the deck belts. The spindle mounting plates are slotted and the belts are tensioned by adjusting them front to rear as the pic shows. Maybe this will help you with tensioning the belts. JMHO Stan
